My job means that I'm always on the go, so my wife and I frequently travel both locally and overseas. While it's very exciting to go to new places, it's always hard to leave our two gorgeous dogs - Lucy and Jemima - behind at home. This is why we send them to Hanrob.

Hanrob takes such great care of our pets, and provides us with complete peace of mind while we are away. We know that Hanrob treats our "girls" with as much love and affection as we do, and they always come home so happy and healthy!

I would like to quickly make mention of one of your staff members I have been talking to over the phone – Kirsten about boarding my dog Dan while we travel interstate for a few days.

I am absolutely sure you have a number of obsessive nutters like me coming to you on a regular basis, asking questions over and over again, seeking reasssurance we are making the right choice for our beloved pets in our absence.

Now I have rung three times – that’s obsessive – but EACH and EVERY time I rang, I spoke with Kirsten who was so understanding, sympathetic and most importantly, comforting to my concerns.  Afterall, our pets deserve the best, and if she is any indication of the professionalism practiced, Dan will be in an extremely happy environment, well looked after, and that makes me happy.

Kirsten’s a keeper in my books, and a wonderful ambassador for Hanrob!

First, both my wife and I are very happy that we had the opportunity to take Bambi to the Sydney City Council's Obedience Training programs.

We were very satisfied with the trainers from Hanrob, who were very knowledgeable and helpful. Gabrielle Carolan was especially helpful.

This is not just a polite "thank you" note. We "adopted" Bambi when she was almost 3.5 years old. Due to fairly sad circumstances, the previous owners (who adored Bambi) had no time for her training. Prior to coming to us, Bambi had spent very little time outside of the family's home, hence she had negligible "social skills". In the early days, we had a number of not-so-nice "close encounters" (with other dogs, runners, bicycle riders, etc). Now, due to a very large extent to the Hanrob classes, I can take Bambi with me anywhere on a leash and she behaves well off-leash in the parks as well.

But, as the cliché says, "there is always room for improvement".

Many thanks for the wonderful care you have given to Pepa,Saffron and Coco. I always feel quite bad when i collect the animals after they have had a stay with you as without exception they look a lot healthier than when they left home. The girls are also happy when i drop them off for their stay they seem to know that it is a holiday time not the vet.

You have looked after Pepa with her medication and really helped granny Coco. The girls will see you soon, keep up the good work.

Prior to attending the 3 week in-house training program at Hanrob, my Golden Retriever Chloe was definitely a handful: pulling on lead, jumping up & not obeying simple commands. Chloe returned home a more relaxed and well adjusted member of the family - able to heel, sit, stay & drop on command.

The staff were extremely professional & caring. I felt totally at ease leaving my dog for the 3 weeks - knowing that she was receiving the best training available in a state of the art facility.

We are taking regular advantage of the free follow up lessons at Hanrob to help reinforce the training and strongly recommended the program.

Hanrob has been incredibly supportive and have provided me with a great deal of assistance in training Gandalf to suit my needs. There was no fuss or difficulty adjusting to my deafness, and I feel really lucky to be associated with the amazing training team. For Gandalf, Hanrob is home away from home, and he loves visiting!

Magic the Pug was six months old when we got him. He'd been a kennel dog, and had never had a lead or collar on him. He was skittish, nervy, and slightly hysterical. We were lucky enough to spot the City of Sydney free dog obedience classes and enrolled immediately.

Now Magic is much calmer. When I took him recently for a quick check up the vet was amazed at how settled he has become. The training has not only enabled Magic to carry out the commands, he is a much happier dog. He knows what to do, and can do it well. He is responsive, enjoys the sessions, and is a joy to live with.

We are tremendously impressed with the trainers from Hanrob. In particular, Diane is a terrific teacher and has adjusted the training to suit each dog and dog owner. She sees what needs to be done and is very clear on how to achieve it. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in these classes.

Vivian and I would like to thank Dianne and Wayne for the wonderful training Rosie has received over the last few weeks. Your patience and skilful instruction has given us the confidence to bring the most out of our dog.

As a result, we enjoy her even more and feel able to take her places, knowing she will respond to commands (usually!). You are really loving dog people. Rosie has absorbed the training and we are all looking forward to further progress in the intermediate course.

This is the second time I have taken Stella to any sort of training classes and we have learnt so much more from the Hanrob trainers. Methods are better suited to socialising her around other dogs and teaching me control with very fast results. Thank you Caroline and Dianne.
